This week's episode of The Second Scoop ramps up with action from Snoop Dogg joining the anti-gun camp in a 401K divestment campaign called #ImUnloading. I find it super hypocritical that a guy who promoted gun violence in his music and made millions off of it is now blaming gun companies for gun deaths. I'm sure Snoop's music played no role.
Here's another ridiculous example of blaming the tool and not the person. If we take drunk driving deaths, do we blame the alcohol or the car manufacturer for the deaths? Of course not. I don't understand how gun companies should be held responsible for the actions of individuals, particularly when the gun industry speaks out against the illegal use of firearms.
The Washington Post reports on a study showing the while gun ownership has declined, gun rights is at an all-time high.
The NRA's Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre appeared on Lou Dobb's show to discuss the Obama AR-15 ammo ban, and we have one more week to submit comments to the ATF to tell them this ban is a worthless idea. Please invest 15 seconds to fill out this simple form and contact your elected officials: www.NRAILA.org/STOPBATFE.
Finally, this week's Good Guy with a Gun segment brings us yet another successful self-defensive use of a gun story.
