Once October is done, I'll have been home in San Francisco for fewer days than I've been on the road. Traveling for 19 out of 31 days has been a lot of fun, traveling the country for a machine gun shoot, a 3-gun competition, filming at the NRA and a few other things. Before October I had never been to Kentucky but now I've been there twice in two weeks! I also got a chance to see the Four Roses Distillery and got a tasting in.
My competition schedule ended with the Blue Ridge 3-gun match, which is a fun natural terrain match at the Rockcastle Shooting Center in Park City, Kentucky. I ended up smashing my finger while clearing a double-feed in my AR-15 while on the second floor of a tobacco drying barn, in low-light, tight conditions. I had to shoot half the match with a busted finger, so even though I wasn't at 100%, it was still a lot of fun and an interesting experience to figure out how to shoot with a minor-moderate injury. I finished 83rd out of 197 shooters so nothing to write home about, but not too shabby either considering this was a major national match.

As the competition season wraps up, I'm transitioning my focus to some TV opportunities and getting ready for my Bass Pro Shops store appearances in November. I'll be doing a radio interview with Bass Pro Shops Director of Conservation, Rob Keck, who is also the host of Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World on RURAL RADIO on Sirius XM Channel 80. We'll be talking about Top Shot, Google, fishing, hunting, singing, and all sorts of interesting things. I'll announce when the interview will air as soon as I know.
