My competition schedule ended with the Blue Ridge 3-gun match, which is a fun natural terrain match at the Rockcastle Shooting Center in Park City, Kentucky. I ended up smashing my finger while clearing a double-feed in my AR-15 while on the second floor of a tobacco drying barn, in low-light, tight conditions. I had to shoot half the match with a busted finger, so even though I wasn't at 100%, it was still a lot of fun and an interesting experience to figure out how to shoot with a minor-moderate injury. I finished 83rd out of 197 shooters so nothing to write home about, but not too shabby either considering this was a major national match.
I will do my best to follow up with another post soon to dive into some of the fun I've had. In meantime, I hope everyone is getting ready for Thanksgiving which is one of my favorite holidays of the year. Family, food, and relaxing!
