Start planning for 2015 and Shoot to Win! Ginny Simone from NRA News covers an awesome restaurant in Rifle, Colorado (yes, that's the real name of the city) where you can open carry in the restaurant, and most of the staffers are also open carrying. "Shooters Grill" offers dishes such as the "M16 Burrito" and "Locked and Loaded Nachos." One diner in the video notes his favorite breakfast dish is the "Rifle Breakfast" with 2 eggs, meat, taters, and toast. Their tagline "Armed and Delicious" is great, and they also offer shooting lessons at the nearby range. They have a lesson package where you go shoot and then end your session with an included meal at the Shooters Grill. Looks like they're servin' up more than just the Second Amendment, check out the video below! www.shootersgrillofrifle.com 11.18.14 | The second scoop: MO State of Emergency, CA legal, Good Gal with a Gun, FPS Russia11/18/2014 Enjoy this week's scoop! Hope you are ready for the holidays, I sure am! The Second Scoop: Chris Cheng provides humor, insight, and commentary on the top gun stories you should know about. Come back every Tuesday night for a delicious serving of Second Amendment news. I've been wanting to do more video work lately and so I'm trying a bunch of new things. I'm starting a new weekly YouTube show called "The Second Scoop" where I'll be compiling the top gun stories of the week in a short 3-5 minute show. Humor, insight, and commentary will be a part of the weekly gig. With "The Second Scoop" think about news scoop, ice cream scoop, and the Second Amendment. If I ever get to making a logo it'll probably be scoops of ice cream with bullets as a topping. Check out this week's episode: We should live life being proud of who we are. Gun owners, gay people, Christians, Muslims, Jews, Asians, African Americans, Latinos, and whatever other things you may be. People will try and shame you, you can expect that. But be strong in your convictions and know that there are millions of people out there who will accept you for who you are. I love embracing differences since it's what makes people interesting. Live your own Truth. See more in my latest video: I'm going to start putting out weekly videos on YouTube where I'll be talking about guns, gear, and a wide variety of topics. I definitely want to hear from you regarding things you'd be interested in listening to, so feel free to comment in the video, here on my blog, or on social media. I've got a number of gun and gear review videos coming out in the next few weeks. I'm really looking forward to chatting with everyone and having a ton of fun! When I worked in corporate America, I oftentimes felt uneasy when the topic of guns came up at work. That's because it normally wasn't someone saying "I went to the range today" but rather some commentary/attack such as "The shooting yesterday was really horrible, we should get rid of all guns." When you're at work, your professional relationships with co-workers is really important, especially if you work on a team. Do you stay silent? Or defend your gun ownership by making a clear distinction between someone like you who uses guns in a lawful way and the crazy people who illegally use them? Worst case scenario is you get reported to HR for potentially scarring an employee, and so that's a real consideration. However, I found that by speaking my mind in a calm, respectful manner was oftentimes productive. I had a good working relationship with many colleagues, and I was amazed at how many of my colleagues were actually gun people! It's important to live your own truth, staying silent only empowers the shamers. Here's my latest NRA News Commentators video on this topic: |
