Celebrate our nation's independence by listening to this great song. Let's go shoot some freedom!!
Well the fun continues with July 4th right around the corner, and in my new video I am shooting the Star Spangled Banner with an integrally suppressed 10/22 .22LR rifle. Celebrate our nation's independence by listening to this great song. Let's go shoot some freedom!! http://www.ccrkba.org/?p=5014
BELLEVUE, WA – Following today’s ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court that requires all states to recognize same-sex marriages, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said that the same principle should apply to nationwide state recognition of concealed carry licenses and permits from all other states. “To paraphrase what Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy said about same-sex marriage,” noted CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb, “no right is more profound than the right of self-preservation, and under the Constitution, all citizens should be able to exercise the right of self-defense anywhere in the country. It disparages their ability to do so, and diminishes their personhood to deny the right to bear arms they have in their home states when they are visiting other states.” While many states recognize the concealed carry permits or licenses from other states, this is not universal. In some states, law-abiding citizens have been egregiously prosecuted for conduct that is perfectly legal in their home state. For example, New Jersey has become notorious in recent years for prosecuting honest citizens, the most recent being the unjust treatment of Shaneen Allen, the Pennsylvania single mom who had to be pardoned by Gov. Chris Christie because she crossed a bridge from one state to the other, and was honest about having a firearm when quizzed by a police officer during a traffic stop. “State drivers’ licenses are universally recognized,” Gottlieb observed, “and with today’s high court ruling, same-sex marriage must now be recognized in all 50 states as well. It not only stands to reason, but common sense demands that the concealed carry licenses held by more than 11 million citizens across the country should now be valid in every state without question. “We’re talking about law-abiding citizens who have gone through background checks, and in many cases, state-mandated training programs,” he added. “To continue treating their Second Amendment rights as second-class privileges seems unconscionable after today’s ruling.” The fun continues with yet another video I shot with the Musical Targets system, my trusty Volquartsen Superlite rifle, Leupold scope, and Winchester ammo. Almost everyone knows this song as it's a classic. Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" is from his infamous 9th Symphony, and here it is in firearms glory. Have a song request? Please add it to the comments below! I am honored to be one of the few selected folks in the industry to help promote Glock's Safety Pledge during this month of June. It's simple and it's completely free. Head over to http://us.glock.com/safetypledge to sign up and show your support for firearms safety. Below is the video that Glock is pushing out to all its customers. I had a ton of fun shooting The Marines’ Hymn with the Musical Targets system. I learned how to sing this song in elementary school and the tune has stuck with me ever since. Even though my father was in the U.S. Navy I naturally have always had an appreciation for anyone who has served in any branch of the military. Thank you to all the men and women who serve and have served our wonderful country. There are some products which are awesome, and there are some products which are AWESOME. The Can Cannon by X Products definitely falls in the latter category. It's a modified AR-15 upper which attaches to any AR-15 lower and enables you to shoot 12 oz soda cans. .223 caliber blanks can propel the cans way beyond 100 yards and it's a really fun product. In this video I was at an event where the Can Cannon was present so I only had a few minutes with it. However, I have one on the way so I will be shooting more things out of it soon! Baseball fans will rejoice when they hear a classic song shot on the Musical Target system. I've got my same setup of a Volquartsen rifle, Leupold Deltapoint scope, and Winchester ammo. Who's got my nachos, hotdog, and Cracker Jacks? No, I did not shoot poor Mary's little lamb, but I did shoot the song on a cool system called Musical Targets. Steel plates that emit a musical tone when you shoot them. How cool. I've been a musician ever since I was a kid and so being able to merge two of my passions makes it all the more fun. I have already filmed a bunch of songs and so here's the first of many. The maiden voyage- "Mary Had a Little Lamb" with a Volquartsen 10/22 Superlite rifle, Deltapoint scope by Leupold, and Winchester ammo. Thanks to Musical Targets for providing the awesome system! 6.9.15 | Second Scoop: Justice in Jersey Part Deux, ATL Open Carry Controversy, .50BMG Good Times6/9/2015 I've been on the road for three weeks traveling and am finally back home for a few days before my next trip. I'll be posting more updates here on my blog to chronicle the fun times I've had but for now, here's this week's Second Scoop! I discuss how Gov. Chris Christie pardoned Steffon Josey-Davis which is great news, but is it politically motivated? A man wanting to protect his daughter while escorting her to the Atlanta airport arrives with a slung AR-15 and 100 round drum. While it was completely legal, was it really a good idea? We have another great Good Guy with a Gun story and we cap this week off with a fun video of Iraqveteran8888 and me shooting a .50BMG rifle.
